The Illinois Society for Respiratory Care and the program committee proudly invite you to participate in the 43rd conference and exhibition; the ISRC’s biggest educational show of the year.  Respiratory care practioners and other healthcare providers will gather in Oak Brook Terrace for “RESPIRATORY CARE TREK TO THE NEXT GENERATION”.  For three days we will enjoy education, exhibits, awards and recognitions, contests with prizes, entertainment, networking, food and friends.

MEMBERSHIP DRIVE – Free Membership

Become a member of the AARC/ISRC for free.  If you register for the full conference as a nonmember, we will give you a free one year combined AARC/ISRC membership, (a $102.50 value).  One-day nonmember registrants can receive a discounted one year combined AARC/ISRC membership for only an additional $40 (a $102.50 value).  New members will be invited to a new member reception from 5pm-5:30pm on Wednesday.  Stop by the membership table near the registration desk and fill out an application for a free or discounted membership.  Don’t pass up this exceptional offer!!!!

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT

A maximum of16 continuing respiratory care education credits (CRCE) can be obtained during conference.  The ISRC has applied to the AARC.

BARRY SHAPIRO, MD COMMEMORATIVE LECTURE              

Dr Shapiro was a Specialist in Anesthesia and a pioneer in the fields of Critical Care Medicine and blood gas technology.  Dr Shapiro shaped many RCPs across the country through his lectures, books and bedside rounding.  The ISRC remembers Dr Shapiro with the Barry Shapiro Commemorative Lecture each year at the Annual Conference and Exhibition.  This year’s lecture will be presented by John Walton RRT, FAARC.

Sputum Bowl

GOT GAME? THE BOWL IS BACK!

After a 15 year hiatus, Illinois is bring back the Sputum Bowl competition.We will be holding both a student and practitioner competition. The winners for each team with receive FREE admission to next years ISRC Conference and the option to represent Illinois in Tampa Bay Florida in the National Sputum Bowl Competition this year.
